Ducos not dying?

I could've sworn he got shot in the back by one his own men at the end, and yet he appears in later episodes, was there ever an explanation given for this?

reply

I'm not sure but if I remember correctly he was shot at the end of Sharpe's Honour in the aftermath of the battle of Vittoria and came back to steal Napoleon's treasure for himself and frame Sharpe for it in Sharpe's Justice.

But I can't remember that they gave any explanation as to how he survived.

They didn't.

In the book it's almost as bad as it pretty much says he dies. It's a bit like the end of the book 'From Russia With Love' in which bond dies just to return in the next novel as if nothing happened.

"Nothings gonna change my world!"

I don't think there's anything to suggest Ducos dies in either the book or the TV version of Sharpe's Enemy(or the book of Sharpe's Honour). He's shot and apparently killed in the TV version of Sharpe's Honour, only to turn up again in Sharpe's Siege without any explanation or even mention of his apparent fate.
