What do you think Juliet would do when she got to Rio? She has no money, she's wanted possibly for murder and she presumably doesn't know anybody there.
I think she would end up working as a prostitute, it would be about the only viable option open to her.
Considering she was a qualified and experienced nurse, I would have assumed that she'd do that. I agree with your point that she is up the creak without a paddle. Although her plane ticket there has been paid for, the only money is what she can access in her UK accounts/ credit cards, etc. She also doesn't know anyone there or speak Spanish.
And before anyone mentions it, I don't know if there is an extradition treaty with South America. If she had been smart, she would have picked her country well, such as Brazil, which definitely doesn't. She would have been most wanted for questioning at any rate in connection with the four bodies - Hugo, the two gangsters & David - and the GBH of Alex.
P.S. Apart from Civilization, what else have I missed?
Having re-read my previous post, I realise what a dumb comment my 2nd paragraph was. I can't recall what I was trying to say, (maybe I was on something) as I'm well aware Rio is in Brazil. Particularly as I've been there. Never mind.
I'd expect she would have time to get away. The cops would have to act very fast to get the message out in time.
P.S. Apart from Civilization, what else have I missed?
Alex left her a single note in the car. I don't remember if she grabbed the ticket on her way out but even if she did it wouldn't be any good with no cash to start anew in Rio.
I think she would have been alright. She would have some money from her job and probably savings. And in Brazil she could try to get a job as a doctor. Yeah of course it doesn't beat the easy life she would have had. If she would have gotten the money. But hey it beats jail
Presumably she'd need some sort of work permit and/or registration to work as a doctor in another country, and would need to show qualifications from the UK. All of which would be difficult to obtain with the police back home wanting to question her about a pile of corpses.
