Rock N Roll High School?

I've never seen this movie, but does it have some connection to Rock N Roll Highschool? because it has at least two of the same actresses (PJ Soles and Mary Woronov) who play characters with the same last names as their characters in Rock N Roll High school, Randall and Togar. Soooo, anybody have any idea? Not to mention the fact that the names of the movies are similar-ish.

Same movie some of the same peaple you should see R2R high school for your self.... A very bad move but I loved it

Seems to be a kind of prequel. P.J. Soles, Dey Young, and Mary Woronov all play characters with the same last names as their characters in Rock n' Roll High School, and both are directed by Allan Arkush.
