One of the worst movies I've ever seen

Just now saw it for the first time, but I had remembered seeing the previews back in the day. Thought they should've tightened up the inconsistancies and made it a little more believable. Also, I realize what they were going for but thought they missed. It seems everyone else on here loves it though. Agree to disagree?

Wow.

You are very wrong.

You're not alone. I, too, did not like this movie, even though it was supposed to be a black comedy/spoof. If you wish, please read my thread entitled: "You Get What You Pay For."

A little more believable? That's nearly as funny as this film itself. You have no soul

It is certainly one of the most entertaining films I have ever seen. I've seen it more than any other movie.

which pairs nicely with your bad English...

Honestly do you ppl know the definition of CAMP?!. This wonderful piece of trash cinema is clever, fun, dark, and charming. True, its prolly not for the likes of Johnny and Suzie Whitebread but, they're exactly the kinda squares that need to see it. I'd love to know how making it "more believable" (which, by the way, would take away from the camp value of this film) would have made the movie any better and not turned into some Lifetime movie of the week.

reply

Yep it campy. I think. I dun know wut that word means, but I lurved this flick.

Do you really know what they were going for? The preceding sentence there kinda suggests you really don't. But yeah, we can agree to disagree.

Are you gay? Are you gay? If-a you don't pick up the phone that mean you gay.

This movie blew me away the first time I saw it unedited.
If you watched it on television or a censored cable channel you will never get the full effect. Laughed till tears rolled down my cheeks at the unexpected and extensive amount of profanity.
Susan Sarandon would have been a mistake, glad the budget wasn't big enough to meet her minimum. Kathleen Turner makes this film with her aloofness and snobbish behavior, and then cursing worse than any sailor!
Perfect movie for a Sunday morning....in lieu of church ;-)
