Overall, I think Ricki Lake is attractive, even in this film when she was on the heavier side. However, I think some of these people are moronic to think only pretty girls can be flirts. I've seen flirts come in all shapes and sizes, and find the lesser attractive girls are often flirtier than their prettier counterparts. In fact, all the prettier girls I know aren't flirts because they either are A.) really shy and can't trust guys or B.) feel they are too good-looking to have to initiate anything. The biggest flirt I knew was ugly as hell, but had a lot of confidence and guys did flock to her. I find it funny that so many people think only attractive people are good enough to partake in certain activities, but most people are not drop dead gorgeous anyway. The media has really brainwashed some of you.

I just got done watching this for the first time (great movie,btw)and she wasn't too bad looking in this.
If you think she's heavy then you should check out Babycakes. That was the film that launched her along with her weight into the mainstream....the reason I say this is because she is MUCH thinner in Serial Mom, she had already been in the process of exercising to get in the shape she currently is in today.
