i dont get why it gets so much dislike i think its a solid family film

Eh at the end it did get kind of stupid.

One thing I never understood was why was ZZ Top in this movie?

The acting went downhill and ZZ Top. Also it was funnier when Scott thought he was going crazy, when he decides he wants to be Santa the primary joke of the movie was gone.

Well, some people just don't like Tim Allen. I have heard a lot of people online say they mainly don't like it cause they hate Tim Allen. I guess his masagonistic humor is too much for some people.
