I agree, Neil was a jerk ........he had the nerve to spoil Santa Claus for Charlie ALL BECAUSE he didn't get a little mangy whistle when he was 3 years old. Lol

He also seemed like a show off just b/c he was a psychiatrist and probably made more money than Scott :(

I think Scott put him in his place, pretty much, throughout the movie. Like joking that he got his sweaters from the circus, or that his head came to a point, or that he was a living joke as a psychiatrist, or that he and Laura were wrong to take away visitation rights from Scott to see Charlie, or that he started looking like the delusional idiot when Bernard showed up on Christmas Eve. I mean, the guy was a living running gag all through the film.
