Is there a single likeable character in the movie?

I can't think of one.

Watching it for the first time right now. 45 minutes in and I haven't spotted a likable character yet. Or more specifically, one who isn't somewhere between bland and annoying. I wasn't expecting much, still underwhelmed.

Judy the elf?

Judy, Bernard was pretty funny to me, and Charlie may have been Whiny but he wasn't unlikable

I had a major crush on Judy when I was a kid

Bernard was a lot nicer in the 2nd movie.

Judy was sweet.

Scott eventually became nicer when he became Santa.

Charlie was whinny but he's a sweet kid! much better than the boy in "Jingle All the Way"

Who doesn't love Comet? ;)

I liked Charlie, Judy, and later on I grew to like Scott, because he became a better man after becoming Santa. Bernard wasn't so bad once things got back to normal for the North Pole. You see from the way he treated Charlie that he wasn't a total jerk.

The people I dislike most in this movie are Scott's ex-wife and Neal. The two of them are both pathetic, annoying, and probably the most miserable people I have ever seen. Neal's the kind of psychiatrist that you laugh at, because he doesn't know anything about the real world, and Scott's ex-wife seems to have both neurological problems, as well as terrible taste in fashion. (Actually, both she and Neal have that).

Charlie wasn't a bad kid. He's a little whiny (that's the actors natural voice he can't help it). But he's a sweet kid I liked him.

Judy is sweet too.

Bernard is grumpy at first but has good qualities. He clearly has a soft spot for Charlie (never yelling at him once). Being the head elf can be stressful I imagine. Just like being a manager or school principal.
