ok i've only seen the first couple episodes of Saiyuki, and Goku reminded me alot like Goku from the Dragon Ball series here are some examples:
1) Name
2) They both have a pole that gets bigger for a weapon
3) Hair is similar
4) They love Food
5) They can both change into stronger versions of them selves
if anyone has any other similarities just say so
like i said i've only seen a couple of the episodes so i dont know if Goku(Saiyuki) changes at all
Well, the Goku from Saiyuki and the Goku from Dragon Ball are based on the same Moneky King from the old Chinese legend "Journey to the West". So I don't think it's that stange that they seem alike.
