Heinlein Movies

I can only think of three; this one (pretty good adaptation and they actually got the heroine right); Starship Troopers (bad adaptation), and Destination Moon (which Heinlein himself was involved in the production of, so no problem there).

Are there any other Heinlein movies, even bad ones? Because I can't think of any, not even TV adaptations!

This wasn't a trully horrible movie, but they cut or missed a lot of details from the book, especially with Mary.

Anyhoo, while I can't speak for Destination Moon, probably the best interpretation of a RAH book has to go to Starship Troopers: The Roughneck Chronicles. This was an awesome but sadly shortlived CGI TV program. It deviated quite a bit, but still managed to live up to the book.

I liked the first Starship Troopers film. Much different from the book, but good in it's own right...

Ugh, seriously? It was so boring, I nearly fell asleep.

And it was just horrific to see one of my favorite novels turned into a a lame shoot-em-up and to see moral, deeply philisophical characters turned to one dimensional caricatures. And "Everybody Fights, Nobody Quits" is just so antithetical to the spirit of the book.

Yes Only the three you mentioned.Hard to believe considering he was probably the greatest Science Fiction
author in recent times.I much prefer his work to Philip K Dick who's stories seem very paranoid to me.
