Major flaw in the movie.

Like "invasion of the body snatchers" victims of the "puppet masters" effectively have no emotion while they are being controlled by the aliens.

Well here is the major flaw.

One of the scientists used a clever trick to see if someone was being controlled, she would "flash" them her breasts. It only worked on MEN and BOYS for obvious reasons but she could tell from their reaction if they were under control or not. Here is the problem:

A homosexual male might not at all get turned on by a WOMANS breasts so she could wrongly think a gay man is taken over.

Just as the pod people in Body snatchers tried to fake emotion to fit in (though they sucked at it I must admit) a CLEVER alien might PRETEND to be aroused and stare open mouthed at her breasts JUST BECAUSE THEY MIGHT BE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE ITS A TEST even if there is no actual emotion and no actual sexual attraction.

It would NOT be foolproof. It also would not work against BLIND victims or victims with very poor eyesight (legally blind)

I think the idea is simply a reaction, not necessarily a sexual one. Even a homosexual man would be shocked if a woman bares her top to them. He wouldn't have a sexual interest, but he would react to something no woman would do, just as a heterosexual man would react to another man suddenly barring his genitals. No sexual interest, but shock.

I agree this "technique" she used was a very over generalized. It wouldn't have worked on men that didn't find her attractive in general. And of course this makes the assumption that men have sex on the brain all the time.
