Filming Locations

I always kinda figured that this wasnt filmed in Texas like Robert's other films because of the scenery. I discovered recently it was shot in Whittier, California. I just got the dvd and plan on listening to the commentary track to see if that helps with any of the locations. Central Park at Bailey St and Friends Ave is used several times in the film. In the scene where Salma Hayek and her friend are harassed by Teddy they start their walk on the Corner of Bailey and Friends and walk the sidewalk west towards Washington Ave. Teddy stops his car right past the church. This park was also used later in the film when Teddy talks with Sarge in the patrol car and also when he confronts Dude at the gazebo. The movie theater where Nixer bugs the ticket girl is Whittier Village Cinemas on Greenleaf Ave.

The scene where Sarge pulls Dude over was filmed out somewhere on Turnbull Canyon Rd. Still trying to find exact location. The opening chase was filmed along Greenleaf Ave and the RocknRoll club was somewhere along here. I'm still trying to pinpoint the exact spots and also trying to find Dude's house. Will update when I do. 'Til then, any help is appreciated!
