Whenever Dr Spitzvogel 'massages' a woman he sings 'Der Lindenbaum' from Schubert's Die Winterreise. Does anybody know why he chooses this song? Does it have a particular significance?

Spitz means horny and Vogel mean bird in german. So he is singing about a horny bird whcih could be himself.
