Remember at the very beginning of the movie there was a Salvation Army man ringing a bell and saying "Merry Christmas" just before the scene in Dr. Wong's office? The part is credited as Cort Day but the man had an odd voice that sounded like Grover from Sesame Street. I was wondering if the man was actually Frank Oz. Does anyone know?

Who had the weird voice the old guy ringing the bell??? Why did they go through all that trouble to do a voice over? why didn't they just put another person in that spot?
