The when?

"Yes, it's the apocalypse all right. I always thought I'd have a hand in it."

reply

not to bring everyone down but since i was born in 89 the nineties seemed really old and dusty

the music was cool but other then that i think it was sort of the comedown from the the decade long cocaine binge of the 80s

the funny thing is that i relate to this movie as a high school grad with all my college drop out friends

i was always shunning popular tastes so i never appreciated 90s culture i guess still dont

2010s are going to be wild as *beep*

Yeah even when it all dies in 2012 *Grins*

I loved the 90s.. oasis came out with Definitely Maybe in 94 and I was in britian at the time.. great memory. It ended up selling more than the Beatles for a debut album in Britian..

It was all good..I'll forever love the 90s

College--Flannel shirts, boots, hemp jewelry, going organic with everything, grunge rock, coffee houses, indie music and films, ideals, Clinton white house.

If you are in your thirties and love this film, see Definitely, Maybe. It is about a guy who is graduating college in early nineties and is very idealistic and concerned about apathy in his generation. It follows him from then until now and you see how his life worked out.

I want to see *this* film made into a sequel, actually. Would love to know what happened to Troy and Lainey and how things worked out for them.

I think of 1991-1996. The 90's kind of lost its pop cultural edge starting in 1997.

Baby doll dresses and chokers. Ahhh!

The 90's was the last time there was any decent Rock or Metal produced, that I know. I miss the 90's. :(

It was my main childhood decade, born in mid 1984 I don't have many memories of the 80s (certainly wasn't aware of current events back then), I started infant school in '89 I did my GCSEs in 2000. I'm sad to say I didn't do too well in the 2000s, it wasn't all bad but childhood was a different, more carefree time.

Through a haze of beer, bong hits, and other substances.
The 90's were my 20's. I was born in 1970, so do the easy math.
Working at an indy record store from 90-96, then at a bank (Boo!)
Out...every night...seeing bands, bands, and more bands.
My first real adult relationship, from October 91 to November 93.
We lived together.
Was it love? I thought so at the time.
And when she dumped me I was a mess for a long time.

But I'd go back in a second. Things have never been as good.
I just turned 40 and I'm unemployed, thanks to this economy.
I'm single. Not a big deal. I see women on occasion.
Can't AFFORD to get serious, even if I wanted to.
Don't have the energy to see bands anymore.
Plus, most of 'em SUCK anyway!

I was a kid (born in 1990). At that time, I actually like most of the songs played on the radio than now. Its no surprise, I loveed the Spice Girls, N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, what little girl didn't? I also enjoyed listening to the dance music that came from Europe. I didn't use the internet as much as I do now. My dad had a pager, cell phones were for rich people! I was happy until 2001 cause thats when I went to a new school.

In the '90's I was age 9-18. I remember watching 90210 when I was way too young, fanny packs (Jesus!), Walkmans with cassette tapes,VCR's, video store mania (no Netflix), beepers, kid's TV (Saved by the Bell, Doogie Howser, Parker Lewis can't lose, Full House-I admit I watched it, Nickelodeon-Pete & Pete, Doug, Hey Arnold, Salute your Shorts, Rugrats, All That), Al Bundy, loving Jordan Catalano from My So Called Life, WB dramas (Dawson's Creek, Buffy, etc) in my teens, horny R&B (R. Kelly, Jodeci, that song called "Knockin Boots"), Quentin Tarantino, chockers, back pack purses, clog and platform shoes, those awful thigh high stockings, belly shirts and baby doll dresses, Starter hats and jackets, the revival of swing dancing (i.e. Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Brian Setzer Orchestra, Big Bad Voodoo daddy, the GAP commercials), ravers with glow sticks, Meg Ryan chick flicks, being obsessed with "rock alternative" like Oasis, Alanis, Green day, loving The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The awful Macerna, the movie Clueless, boy bands, Britney Spears, Spice girls, TRL. Johnny Depp in his purest non-commercial & unconventional form.
