I think it's released in the UK on DVD?? You can check Amazon UK, and wait for a sale for bargain perhaps.

Have a look on http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/ and I think you'll find Play doing it for £7.99. I got it for £6.99 a few months back, but can't remember which online shop it was from!

I don't think it's available on DVD in North America. However, I did find it for sale in European standards(PAL?) on eBay. Which is where I picked up the VHS copy I own. Great movie.

You would think that with the notoriety Tornatorre recieved for Cinema Paradiso, his films would be easily available in the U.S., especially since IMO, this film is better than Cinema Paradiso...I just love the on screen dynamic between Polanski and Depardieu. Hopefully someday we'll get it here in the States.

its a pity. no german version to buy! though the movie
got perfect synchronized for german television.
I guess it wasn´t worth the dvd production etc.
not enough people would watch this movie!!

You can purchase or rent this through Amazon. My Panasonic Viera has it built in so I bought it and it's available in the TV's library or I can access it through the Amazon site. $2.99 to rent...$9.99 to purchase.

I bought it from Amazon.com. Unfortunately the only region 1 DVD is made in Mexico. It has a low resolution, and it has only Spanish subtitles. No English...
I am a little lucky to speak both French and Spanish, but neither really perfect. So I could understand around 90-95% of the dialog. I guess I'll understand better when I'll watch it again.
