Could Zed have afforded Grace (his chopper) on a security guard's salary?

Firstly, I don't know anything about motorcycles/choppers. But Grace looked expensive.

reply

I think he could have easily afforded a 7 year old bike with a little saving.

reply

Let’s be real, Zed probably acquired the bike from one of his sex slave murder victims.

reply

exactly what i was thinking. or, he likely had (i mean come on, let be real) alternate income streams, possibly ones tied to his SG job. as in, providing intel on shipments etc. (most of the theft mafia engages is done from an inside source)

or he coulda been a side dealer, picking up cash for spreading a little powder around town. who knows; it coulda been a number of things. but side stream income would be my guess.

or i could say he read kiyosaki's book and bought some rental duplexes, except that book wasn't written until 1997 lol

reply

Bingo! He was clearly an enterprising, albeit nefariously enterprising individual.
I wouldn’t doubt if the security gig was just something to do or even an “in” to engage in further criminal activities.

reply

I like all these different hypotheticals! However, I suspect Grace wasn't stolen from one of his victims. Most vehicles are stolen for their parts as it's pretty risky being seen in one so after Butch picked up his wife, he would have had to ditch Grace somewhere.

reply

Bikes are cheap compared to cars. There is also a thing called bank loans. Someone could have given him the bike. I don't really understand this question. Why does this matter?

reply

I see. Like I said before, I don't know anything about bikes. I just wondered if it could have been a plot hole.

reply

Wait. Zed was a security guard? I thought he was a cop.

reply

It says "security officer" on his sleeve. I never realized this before either.

reply

Perhaps choppers were way cheaper back in 1994.

He could've saved up for it for years. And perhaps he bought a cheap one in a worn out condition that he fixed up.

reply

Bingo!
