Joey Pants should have played Jimmy

We all can agree that Tarantino's performance, like all of his save his turn as Ritchie in Dusk 'Til Dawn, is terrible. Which begs the question--who should have played Jimmy in Pulp?

Imagine Ralfie from The Sopranos delivering the famous 'dead nigger storage' tirade? :)

I thought Quentin Tarantino did a great job as Jimmy

reply

meh. Auteur's prerogative. At least he's better in his parts than M. Night Shamalamadingdong is in his.
That said, love me some Joey Pants.

reply

NO...TARANTINO IS PERFECT IN BOTH ROLES.

reply

i enjoyed QT as Jimmy.

reply

Steve Buscemi or Chris Penn - both from Reservoir Dogs - could have done it.

'90s Ben Affleck would've kinda made sense.

But for the real money: Tom Hanks. Mr. Everyman, livin' it up in the suburbs droppin' n-bombs and f-bombs like he's not worried about his future Academy Award prospects.

reply

Ben Affleck hadn't even been born yet when Pulp Fiction was being filmed.

reply

Quentin Tarantino was excellent as Jimmy, I can't imagine anyone else in the role.

reply

Nah, QT did it perfect. He was kind of a schmuck, which I think the real QT is, and it worked perfectly.

reply

Damn! I thought he was awesome as Jimmy. I loved it when they were getting hosed off and he pointed to all the spots Mr Wolf missed.
