The point of 'Raquel'
Raquel was such a useless unnecessary character. every line she spoke was just awkward as the actress seriously can't act.
so what was the point of including her? I really didn't understand

She was the wolfs girlfriend.
shareOh.. wow. seriously?? didn't really get that impression much at all. all his lines spoken to her weren't at all said in a manner or tone that would've indicated an actual relationship between the two.
He spoke to her like she was the child of a well-known friend who he's known since birth, but not in a romantic way...
..Even still though, all her lines were acted so horribly awkwardly. like her lame "joke" about their outfits looking for they're headed to a volley ball game, or her retort that she has character.
horrible acting

And I actually thought she was cute with Harvey Keitel.
Wasn't the actress also coming off of a cancer scare too?
Maybe it was just a bit of a part to get her back into the swing again.

It's Pat
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
the actress seriously can't act.
She had more lines in a deleted scene in which she tells the Wolf she misses him and never sees him and insists on having breakfast with him. I think she fleshes out the "regular guy" aspect of the Wolf (who likes a good cup of coffee even as he plots out the disposal of a dead body).
"Chicken soup - with a *beep* straw."
can you find a link to that scene?

According to Tarantino, he nearly kept this scene in.
"Chicken soup - with a *beep* straw."
I like this scene and I liked the wolf the best in that scene.
shareI Thought she was great! By the way, that was Julia Sweeney from Saturday Night Live. She was famous for her "It's Pat" character from the same program.
shareJust because she's a useless unnecessary character doesn't mean she HAS character.

there was no such thing as useless characters in this story.. it was important to show that the Wolf was very well connected in order to solve problems.
he maintains the relationship with Joe by being civil with him, his daughter, and even knows the dog's name is Rex. after Joe's "favour" he buys Raquel breakfast meaning he himself is a man of great character.
