The only true flaw in this movie, Tarantino's acting

You guys can try to rationalize it and defend it all you want, but it truly is dreadful, laughably bad acting, especially this scene

His acting was so bad that any actor could play him and make the character less annoying.

reply

Yep. Not convincing, he looks exactly like what he is - a director in front of his camera/crew trying to do a scene. Takes me out of the movie.

reply

Yes; it was horrible; if only his acting talent was as big as his ego, needing to be in that scene. Totally horrendous. Took me briefly out of the movie also.

reply

I would agree that his acting abilities certainly are no where near at the same level as the other actors however after having watched the film so many times you learn to like it and it doesn't take you out of the scene after a while. Also I think after every viewing his acting seems to get less noticeably bad

...will be home in an hour...and a half... Graveyard shift... at the hospital.

I cringe every time.

reply

Well I suppose we can be thankful that he uses his own voice in this movie and doesn't put on a weird Australian accent!

reply

He's an ok actor. Put him in a room with fantastic actors and he'll look bad. And it's honestly just his monologue. The rest is fine. And keep in mind he's pissed which Tarantino does well.

reply

Fantastic actors? John Travolta is in the room.

reply

i thought his acting really worked for character and scene. his worst acting was in DeathProof though

reply

The worst part is his rant about how Jules needn't tell him how good his coffee is and how he likes to "taste it"... whattan obnoxious dick. Good thing Harvey Keitel stopped by and shut him up.

Some people in politics & fundamentalist religions are intelligent enough to look smart with facts because they'd seem stupid with facts - probably because they are.
