The Guy On The Skateboard...

After Greg left Graham's apartment he was riding his bike and this guy rolled up to him on his skateboard and they just sort of stared at each other. I don't get what that was all about. Can someone explain it to me?

Quote Nietzsche and brag about having read some obscure foreign text. You're still a basic idiot.

I think it meant that his homosexuality was "apparent" and that the boy knew and was attracted to him.

Its a metaphor in a sense

I kind of thought the guy was "propositioning" him for sex. And that the guy knew he was gay and maybe that freaked Greg out too. Because didn't he sort of scowl or shake his head before riding away? Anyway...

I might be reading into it too much, but it seemed to have a dream like sense so it, it looked like they were both floating. To me it was like the guy on the skateboard with the long hair could have been (in his mind) a representation of Jesus, the knowing look he gave him, seemed to say that his God etc knows his secrets and he can't get away from that.

I always figured the young man was trying to pick him up.

He sees Greg, follows him and looks at him knowingly as though he expects Greg to understand right away that he is being propositioned (because Greg's homosexuality is quite apparent to him).

I thought the guy was supposed to be Jesus. He did look like him. He was there to tell Greg that he knew he sinned.
