Fate of the Albanian girl

I've been wondering, was the Albanian girl killed by her own people ? So she was pursued by the Macedonians for probably killing Alex's cousin, but then her family ran after her to kill her too ? Why ? What had she done back then to disgrace her family ? Could they've known that she was already hiding with a priest ?
