How was the score?

To those who have seen the movie, how is the music in it? It beat Braveheart in the '96 Academy Awards for best Dramatic Score (Braveheart being my absolute favorite score of all time) so I'm wondering if it truly is superior.
Thoughts?

They are both truly great scores. It's hard to decide between them because they both evoke powerful, yet different feelings. Il Postino is one of my favorite scores of all time, so I'd have to say that it deserved the award, but awards for art are kind of stupid to begin with. Tell me, what has stopped you from watching this movie? I think you're in for a real treat if you ever get the chance to see it.

The score to this film is absolutely resplendent. Since you're in to film scores I highly recommend you acquire this one (and also watch the film).
