Living in the UK we sometimes get to see Australian cop shows,but we never see them for very long or at decent times of day (usually broadcast late at night.)
I used to like POLICE RESCUE,more recently I enjoyed a show called MURDER CENTRAL or POLICE CENTRAL,but I cannot recall the exact title since I cannot find it on IMDB.
Another show which had I think a one word title was about corrupt police and was very violent.
Any advice re titles would be appreciated.
Save any comments about the ASHES I am Scottish and think CRICKET is a game for public school boys.

Hey mate,

Love this show I think its one of the greatest Aussie dramas on tv, especialy season one and two. Beautifly shot, excilent acting and story. I wish we still had shows like this on Australian tv rather than Big Brother and Idol.

The other shows you're thinking of may be "Murder Call" and "Wildside". I'm pretty sure Wildside was created by the same people that did Police Rescue.

If you can get hold of the police rescue dvds. Season one and two have an ongoing story runing underneath whats happening on the surface of each episode.

Something else for you to check out if you can get hold of it is "Blue Murder". A Mini series with most of the crew from Wildside and Police Rescue about the corrupt cops in sydney during the 70s. Very full on and worth a propper viewing.
