Rated R Version?

I saw this movie on Cinemax over 10 years ago, and loved it. I saw it again on VHS the other day, and I noticed some scenes were missing. Seems like this time I watched it, it was rated PG-13, but back then I could have sworn it was rated R. Anybody know if there is an R version available?

I would probably believe so, as in the UK it was rated a 15 (which would be the equivalent of an R-rating, while 18 would be the equivalent of NC-17).

Correction: 15 and 18 certificates are more like PG-13 to 'soft' R and 'hard' R to NC-17, respectively.

I read that it was actually rated x at one point by mistake. This made it very hard to find in movie rental stores.
