Am I the only one who thought Brian was a jerk?

I just thought he was something of a douche. Especially the scene where Johnny comes up and asks if he can join them to go for pizza. He basically just takes him aside tells him he should be playing ball and to get lost. I just sort of thought that was rather high handed for someone in his position. It would have been one thing if he been Melissa's husband and Cami's father, but he was just some guy who was boning her. In that instance I think he should have at least asked Melissa if it was ok with her.

Yes, I get that Johnny was an evil little prick and all, its not that I feel sorry for him for getting run off. But its not like Brian knew that at the time. For all he knew at that time he was just a twelve year old kid having problems and a friend of theirs. Is that the way he treats any twelve year old kid who comes up like that? I was sort of sorry he escaped getting burned up in the end, haha.
