The Canadian Hart Boechner filmed this at U of Toronto.
What's ironic is Hart's character in Die Hard, Hart improvised everything with the coke snorting and sleezyiness (it wasn't in the script). The director, John McTiernan wanted Hart to stop the improvising but producer Joel Silver thought it was great, so they let Hart go to town with his character.
So it's kind of surprising that Hart wouldn't let anyone improvise as a director when his big break came from being overruled by the producer Joel Silver to improvise in Die Hard.
His directing career was really short though. 2 movies after PCU bombed.
And yet.....Pivens was great in this movie. His smart-ass manner always makes it seem like he's improv'ing his lines anyway.
Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
