Not sure what movie it was called but it sounds similar to this its set in a prison where the prisoners have a bomb implanted in them and if they step over some line the will die.
Its really bugged me for some time now. if anyone can help with the title it would be a massive help.
Is it 1993's Fortress with Christopher Lambert? Also, the beginning of The Running Man is similar to what you describe.
shareThere was also that movie Deadlock, with Rutger Hauer, which basically expanded the premise of the first ten minutes of The Running Man. not half bad, but Running Man and Fortress are better.
I love Fortress. The "intestinator" is a brilliant creation.
Probably Fortress.
