Anyone hear any rumors of anamorphic or even a cable tv airing?

This one really needs an upgrade. I keep hoping it'll pop up on cable or any kind of new release will come out with an anamorphic less compressed transfer. I think the only way this is ever going to happen is: I suddenly develop talent, become a big movie star or filmmaker, get invited to go on of those TCM essential airings as a guest, find out hey have the rights to show No Escape, I request it as a guest programmer, they air it and I set my DVR to record it at home. :(
