Has anyone noticed that a few scenes in this movie are very distorted? People's faces look like they're being stretched. How in the hell can they cut a movie and present it like that?
Putting that aside, this movie is just "okay." It does have its moments, especially the performances by Ray Liotta and Stuart Wilson as Marek. Both of those actors are badass. Lance Henriksen is solid as well.

Yes it's always been that way, even in the theater. It has something to do with how it was shot. It didn't seem as obvious to me on VHS back in the 90s due to the sides being cut off, although even then it could be seen. The newly released Unearthed Films Blu-Ray release I just watched yesterday has a terrific picture for the most part, but those few warped shots really stand out. I was hoping to find some commentary on the distorted scenes but I can't seem to get any hits out there regarding the story behind them.
