Morbid Angel...

I thought it was really cool that they had two Morbid Angel songs on the soundtrack. The two tracks were Vengeance is mine and Rapture from the Covenant album. I think there should be metal on horror movies, all you hear is lame nu metal these days.

Dude it is cool that they had Morbid Angel on there. I remember I could not believe it when I saw it nearly 13 yrs ago! There should be more REAL metal in movies instead of the fake trendy mallcore crap these days. But it's really thrilling when there's death metal in movies like sometimes mainstream. Cuz it's so rare.

I mean you had Cannibal Corpse (not just music but the band itself!) in Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. You have Morbid Angel in NOTD 2. You have Napalm Death in the first Mortal Kombat movie. And I JUST now heard that a Deicide song is featured in an episode of The Sopranos. Even though I haven't really listened to later Deicide. And black metal bands Bathory and Satyricon on the indie film Spun. The director of that is the former drummer of Bathory. Also features cameo by Rob Halford.

But out of all movies, do you know what has the most reference to death metal/extreme metal? AIRHEADS. By means mostly of stickers.

And Im not quite sure but I also heard that I think an episode of a show like CSI where talking about Graveland as well saying it was a NS metal which Graveland are so not quite sure if it was just a coincidence or they knew about the real Polish band!

I agree there should be more metal (real metal) in movies not crap like Limb Bizkit or Kid Rock or any nu-metal bands cos nu-metal to me isnt metal

And evidently, Cannibal were originally to be in AIRHEADS as well, and the producers backed out. Lame. I didn't know about Deicide being in the Sorpanos, f.ck, wish I had payed closer attention!!!! I also never caught ND in Mortal Kombat, but whenI was watching that a lot I wasn't into death metal, so.....

And speaking of that notion, I rewatched this last year for the first time since I had originally seen it, in 2005. At that time (I was still 13) I did not really notice anything, I wasn't into death metal at the time, but when I rewatched it last year, after I had spun COVENEANT (and other fine death metal albums) quite a bit, I was really shocked to hear "Rapture"!!!! Then "Vengeance is Mine" played immediately afterward. Awesome. I was in complete shock!
