Lame Duck : : : So many missing elements ...

For the "sequel" to the 1986 original, soooooooo many missing elements here ... from awful director who didn't have the concept of scare, nor creep factor, to several cast who couldn't act.

1. No actual "face-off" between Sister Gloria and Shirley in the tennis court

2. Lame demonic Angela/Demon dance. I've seen better moves in cheap porn, and in the original

3. Weak reactions from several characters during the Scare scenes/moments

4. No plastic spiders included in the fake webbing inside the funeral parlor

5. Only Sister Gloria "chaperoning" the lame-duck Halloween dance (then gets called away)

And so many more

We honestly couldn't tell if we were watching NOD 2 or an Evil Dead spinoff.
Frankly, I was bored through most of it. Kept waiting for it to get better. Especially the cheap spookhouse gore effects. Any wonder this thing achieved even a 6.3 rating.

The only ones who could act were Christine Taylor and Jennifer Rhoades.

I agree definitely not as good as the original which by the way came out in 1988 not 1986.

I'm not sure what you're saying...was this supposed to be a remake like evil dead? What're you talking about plastic spiders and show downs on the tennis court?

reply

You don't know what you're talking about. This movie was awesome.

I agree with you! This movie rocked!

OP is a good example of why people shouldn't post while drunk.

I collect dead pigeons then I press them between the pages of a book.

I loves the original movie.

The sequels just suck. I agree....this movie isn't even fun, it's just stupid.

It's a fun and memorable flick IMO. It was made in '93/94 and by this time the slasher/horror genre was going through a very dead patch (pardon the pun) and thus this was clearly supposed to be a cheesy horror comedy sending up the previous film and it's like, which explains the lack of 'scares'.
