Was Daniel ever given any mention atall in this film, anything from miyagi like hes on holiday or sumething, his absence was rather strange seeing as they were best friends so i would of thought he would have sed sumthing.

No this movie is all about Mr miyagi teaching Hilary Swank how to do Karate while taking care of her cuz her parents died.

Yes we know that Master C. The fellow before you asked if Daniel gets any mention? thats all. Im sure he's WELL aware that this movie is all about Miyagi teaching Julie. He just wants to know if Daniel got a mention.

At this point Daniel was living in Murville Kentucky in 10 x 15 foot trailer in the mountains, with his Asian wife and 14 kids. Mr Myagi threw him out because he was trimming his bonzai to short. Once he Daniel Son) got totally lit (on Moonshine) on his twenty first birthday and painted the fence with his pee. This was the last straw and Myagi kicked him out. The only Karate Daniel does now is at the local Trailer Park, usually on the toothless lady next door.

Danielsan never survived to make the Karate Kid Part IV so that's why they brought in Hilary Swank. Daniel could not mind his own business and went after Mike Barnes to gloat about his win. Mr. Miyagi got tired of saving Daniel's life so he let Mike, Kreese, and Terry Silver work him over as a lesson. The Cobra Kais then returned to finish Danielsan off once and for all, after all they never did get the chance to confront him after the tournament.

Miyagi actually attends his friends funeral then sticks around to help out his family. I always assumed that Daniel was back home in California while Miyagi is just visiting his friend's family in another city for awhile. Daniel gets one mention in the film that I recall.

Daniel is mentioned or eluded to twice. I agree with the other poster that Daniel was more likely back home in California at college.

When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.
