Boiler Room operation in this movie

was a real place back in the 80's. I used to work there. Michael Tolkin must have either worked there too for awhile or known somebody that did because he didn't even bother to change the name of the company and the pitch Samuel L. Jackson is using is word for word the pitch we used to use. I'm pretty sure I know which salesman Jackson's character is modeled after too.

thank you for the insight. i've never worked in a place like that, but it rang very true to me. word for word? that is funny. or scary. or both.

Based on personal experience, any company that has daily motivational pitch men are no damn good. They're part of the growing scam economy that preys on desperate workers. Sam Jackson was great in an equally great movie.
