Oliver Stone's genius writing elevated the script from being a True Romance part 2 to a social satire/fever dream of the MTV culture. Some people have hard time to sit down and take the film at face value, but it really is pure genius and is still remembered for being uncompromising and shocking.

I think the movie is more relevant today than it ever was before.

TOO BAD...TRUE ROMANCE IS THE BETTER FILM.

I've read QT's original script and I have to agree.

I’ve read Tarantino’s script and was surprised by how poor it was, it was if a 13 year old kid had written what he thought was a badass film, the dialogue was bad and just exposition, the things that are kept from Tarantino’s script (the diner massacre, Scagnetti and McClusky talking, Wayne Gale interview) are massively improved on in Stones script, the characters are far more interesting than they were in QT’s script, where the likes of Scagnetti, McClusky and even Mickey and Mallory are all one dimensional and boring

I really hope that stuff about not buying a house or a car for his mom was a joke.
