was the ed helms bit a joke or for real? it just sounds like a joke because he also starred in the "vacation" remake/sequel which i consider the worst movie i have ever seen, i suggest if you want a sequel to this, "spy hard" is quite similar to the naked gun movies if i recall right. all the times i've seen this i never thought of it before, but nielsen's voice started to sound frail and he looks much older in this, you forget there is almost a decade between the first and this, you can start to see evidence here of how he was much later in his 21st century movie appearances. for young viewers or people not familiar with classic movies, check out "key largo" and the most famous james cagney role, i forgot the title now, to see what the bad guy is based on to get more fun out of this movie. kathleen freeman as "ma" was a great addition to the franchise. the actor playing the arranger has been put in an oddly small part considering he's had starring roles in the sit com married with children and the twilight zone radio dramas. for those not aware of these movies the titles must appear quite confusing, think about it. one of the funniest moments in this has to be when frank turns to the praised veteran actors on stage and says "i loved you in coneheads".

plastic bag blowin across town,
to railway it hooked up with another bag down the line,
at a town by shore blew aboard ship,
hooked up with other bags over sea,
before we knew the plot going on they were all over the place,
got together and put the world in a plastic bag and threw it away.
