I was very young when I saw the movie in the theaters, but I do recall when she got her ears pierced it actually showed her going in and having it done. And when I bought the soundtrack (at the time on cassette) there was a picture in there of him piercing them. However, I own the movie and that scene is not there. Did they take it out when it came out on video or am I totally imagining that whole scene based on the picture? I am soooo confused.

but if you remember it being in the movie as a child, then years later you bought the soundtrack and the picture is their… I would assume they took it out for technical or whatever reasons.

they don't show her actually getting them, but when they are walking on the boardwalk or whatever they show her coming out of the store
shareI'm starting to think they chopped bits out of the movie because I remember them been on a tour bus and jumping of to go and see the movie director but when I bought the movie they just show the part where they are speaking to him. I may be totally wrong though because it was 12yrs ago.

Gosh I'm replying back to this like ten thousands years later but I just now remembered asking that on here while watching part of My Girl 2 tonight! So I thought I'd try to find my post and see if anyone had responded! I'm so glad I'm not the only one that remembers this scene!!!

shareno you werent imagining it you know the ear piercing scene in the parent trap w/ lindsay lohan? well sumtimes wen they used 2 show it on disney channel they wouldnt show that scene but when i would see on the starz or encore or w/e movie channel they would show it
shareI'm fairly certain that there was a scene filmed SHOWING them piercing her ears, but it was not in the final cut of the film. However, I'm pretty sure they used that scene in the previews for the film prior to it's release.
shareMaybe it was taken out since the release of it because more people now days know how terrible piercing guns can be and they were trying not to encourage people to use them?
That is if the piercing place in the movie you remember used guns (most in the era the movie is supposed to be set in did) and if they used proper needles then maybe the removed it because they though it was to much of a squick factor?
