shareI just finished watching this movie on a satellite station and wondered about the real Kristen Guthrie, too. It never said at the end of the movie whether this was based on a true story or not. If there is a real Kristen, I sure would like to know more about her and her family

That's the right people, alright. They had to make the story more interesting, though. There is no indication that her boyfriend arranged this whole deal (and doubtful that he tried to abduct the baby), but he was still involved to some small degree.
