underrated

This movie could be better. Unfortunately the movie loses intensity after he moves to Paris and there is big gaps and it ends too fast, when it could be more explored (I mean the last scenes). Lacks some balance, I would say.

But yet it is one of my favorites and I think it is underrated. I wish it would have more recognition.

I believe it has some to be with the editing. What do you think?

I don't think it is underrated -- I think it does too much telling when it should be hinting, the beginning is too slow-paced and the end rushes through, and apart from Alan Rickman of course none of the acting is really all that good. I don't much care for the period setting -- tell me a good story, and I won't really care how historically accurate the places are. Some other people might rate it higher for that. There is some pretty cinematography, though.
