Final Action Scene

The end scene before the final fight, where they realize that there is no reason to keep fighting, and Merrik tells Keifer its over, is probably the most amusing 10 seconds of film I have ever watched.

He says, "There is no war!" or something, and Keifer gets this weird look on his face and then says, "You were like a father to me..." then slowly brings the rocket launch in firing position. He fires and blows Merrick up.

This is hilarious on so many levels. Why did he blow him up????
Was he that upset that he did not get to go around and slaughter ALL the natives and Nick, that he had to take his anger out on Merrick? But why would he take it out on him? Why not just kill Nick, or shoot if off into a mob of natives? He was pissed because he didn't get to murder a bunch of people for no reason.

And then Nick is muted and mouths something like, "Noooooo!!!", then jumps towards Merrick. Then there is some awesome bullet time camera action, and Merrick EXPLODES! And what comes out???? Not blood. Nope. Confetti. Thats right. Confetti.

What happened to Nick? He basically jumped on Merrick when he got exploded, but Nick just DISAPPEARS!!!!!?!?!!!

Then magically, Keifer falls through the floor...???....and Nick is down there!

WTF!??!!? HILARIOUS!! AWESOME!!! Sat through this entire crap fest of a film for the bar scene and this scene, it was worth it!
