Hi,

i was thinking of getting Maverick on DVD, though I have not seen it. I would like some advice from anyone who has seen it. I thought Mel was great in Lethal Weapon, Mad Max. I also enjoyed Ocean's 11 and 12, plenty of westerns, True Lies, and the Indiana Jones series.

Basically, what I am asking, is - is Maverick the sort of likeable action comedy along the lines of Lethal Weapon? Or is it a more serious card sharp drama? I never saw the TV series, does that matter?

Yes it suits your tastes. It's an excellent movie you should get on DVD for a nice permanent place in your collection. Highly recommended.

This movie is hilarious, if you liked the Lethal Weapon series you'll like this too.

if you like comedies about con artists along the lines of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, this is a fun film
