I think she survived the jokes by Mel just fine. They're actually still good friends. He carried out on stage on the Leno show last week.

This film just goes to show her range, she just as capable in a comedic role as she is in a hardcore dramatic role such as Silence of The Lambs.

Jodie Foster is a bit pretty in this film. In fact she's goddamn gorgeous. Always like Maverick's jokes about her in the bandit camp.

hmm..i just can't believe it!! after all these years, i'm still confusing her with helen hunt!! when i compare the two of them side by side, i tell myself "they're totally different!".. but when i watched this film, i didn't realize i was actually saying "my god, helen hunt looks stunning!"..

what's wrong with me??

I know me too Jodie Foster and Helen Hunt look a lot alike. Jodie Foster is so charming her eyes are so gorgeous, there is just something about her that makes her so pretty!

I always confuse Helen Hunt and Jodie Foster...it's weird.

And yes, Jodie Foster did look good in this film!

Helen Hunt is also gorgeous, hot, and a great actor, but since she looks nothing like Jodie Foster, I assume you need glasses.

You do realize that she started out doing mostly comedies right? movies like Freaky Friday, Candleshoe and such were all comedies and she starred in them as when she was still making a name for herself. Heck she OWNED those films--especially Freaky Friday.

My thoughts exactly. While it may be considered unseemly for Foster to have taken such a role, for me it just further established the diversity of her acting ability.

Furthermore, my hat's off to her for ignoring/avoiding the whole glitzy side of Hollywood.

nah, helen hunt is waaayyyy better, i dont realy like jodie foster, i really liked maveric though even when she was in it. It was just such a fun movie.

She looked good,nothing spectacular.In fact she looked better in "Accused","Inside man" & "Hotel New Hampshire".But that's me.
AGreat flick btw.It was fun to watch Foster in role like that.

Oh yeah! My dad was stunned when he saw her, remembering her from her awkward boyish younger days. And naturally she has a deeper voice but she lightened it and spoke and acted so much more femininely. I thought she was beautiful! I really liked her clothes and hair and she is most definitely very pretty in this film.

I thought she played a great lady/snob/tart/scared little girl/fiesty woman! lol

Jodie did look amazing, but am I the only one who felt she was sort of miscast here...the girly, damsel in distress thing that she did for most of the movie was just so unlike anything I have ever seen her do. She has always played these smart, self-sufficient independent women onscreen and watching her hide behind Mel and her petticoats and not knowing how to use a gun, I don't know...it was all a little hard to swallow.

Well, her damsel in distress thing is really an act. Annabelle's a thief and she's always cozying up to a man. She only acts especially weak and helpless when someone else is around (usually Coop) to gain sympathy. I think it was good. It's always nice to see actors have a real sense of humor on screen.
