Didn't anybody else have the feeling...

...of the good, the bad and the ugly influence on this film?

From the very first scene I had the feeling it was a clear rip off of the good the bad and the ugly. Even Tuco and Alfred Molina look alike.

Maybe it's just me anyway...

Nah, aside from being a Western, there was no real Good, Bad and the Ugly vibe here. This was a comedy drama and it was meant to be taken purely with a light heart. TGB&TU was meant to be raw and suspenseful the entire time.

When seeing the late-James Gardner I felt there might have been a touch or comedic inspiration of his earlier Support You Local Gunfighter & Sheriff (1971) movies ... sans the plot involving the poker challenge of course.
