This movie, The Mask, was such fun to watch. Jim Carrey, early on in his acting career, tried really hard to do a excellent in his goofiness to sell The Mask, and he did well! My favorite Jim Carrey movie!!

Yeah it was a very funny film. Plus it was Cameron Diaz's movie debut. I found her and Carrey had amazing chemistry.
The Mask is like Looney Toons and Jim Carrey combined together and you get this.

I enjoy (and am fascinated by) this movie as much as I enjoy, well, pretty much any other highly enjoyable movie I can think of. How many times have I seen it? I’ve honestly lost count. I just love the performances, the zany and over-the-top humor, the visual effects , the settings, the colors+ tone, the soundtrack/score, and basically all the Tex Avery & Looney Tunes references. The movie is a total blast and a rather unique piece of 90’s cinema, if you ask me. It’s like a live-action cartoon (a well-executed one) and it makes no pretenses about it. Carrey was utter perfection in this role.

I love this movie too. Came out the same year I was born and still remember the lines. Total classic!

shareI don't particularly care for Jim Carrey's brand of humor, but I really enjoy this movie. Dumb and dumber is good to me as well.
I can't anything else of his that I've liked or could even sit through. The same goes for Adam Sandler. I like one or two of his, but can't stand the rest. Will Ferrell is another that I can't understand the appeal.
