Dorian Tyrell reminds me of

Cillian Murphy?

Am I the only one who notices this.

reply

I see that.

I always thought the same thing myself actually. And interestingly, when I’ve recently watched other movies with Peter Greene, Cillian Murphy did come to mind (funnily enough, it’s never been the other way around). And this of course is based on Cillian’s appearance and probably his speech pattern when he’s played an American.

And also, it’s possible Scarecrow’s voice in Batman Begins reminds me of Dorian’s voice when he’s wearing the mask.

I never realized it, but yeah, they do look similar. I always wondered why Peter Greene wasn't a bigger star. He was in a lot of classic 90's movies but then seemed to drop off the face of the Earth.

reply

True. Probably the last notable thing he appeared in was “Training Day”, and he only had a minor role there. Since then he has continued to appear in tons of movies, but unsurprisingly, it’s mostly been b-z grade stuff.

Although I guess he was always seen as more of a character actor than the leading actor type, in the 90’s he did show to have star power (imo). He always elevated any movie he was in.

his balding scalp

Good call. Whatever happened to Peter Greene anyway?

reply

he went bald ungracefully
