Saving Private Ryan...except it's not a comedy.

FULL METAL JACKET

You see, a few months ago, I walked into the livingroom and my six year old daughter was in there and the place was a total mess.

I said, "What is this?"

No answer.

I then said (a little more loudly), "WHAT IS THIS?"

And then she yelled back at me, "A JELLY DOUGHNUT, SIR!"

I laughed so hard I almost wet my pants. Apparently there was a commercial on the radio that used some of the lines from Full Metal Jacket and for some reason she spit them back out at me!!!

Of course, if you've never seen Full Metal Jacket, none of this makes sense....

Major Payne, have seen others but didn't really like them.

I have to say Major Payne.

I saw Stripes & In the Army Now, both were ok, as was Private Benjamin with Goldie Hawn.

I liked Full Metal Jacket, though I wouldn't say it's a comedy. My favorite miltary movie is A Few Good Men, no question.

Make it up as you go along and you act as if you really know the song.

Stripes

Major Payne

Private War of Major Benson (original Major Payne played by Charleton Heston)

..nobody's mentioned Hot Shots? Come on.

reply

Seriously Hot Shots part one and Duex are probably the best along with down periscope.

It's tough to rank them but some of my favorites...

Buffalo Soldiers
Hot Shots
Stripes
Operation Petticoat
MASH

I just discovered Major Payne but it definitely ranks up there now.

I think for me it would have to be "The War on Terror". It starts out with this drug addict boozer who wasn't even truly elected as President because his brother rigged the election. So Pretendant Bulsh and his puppeteers rig some remote controlled jets and plant a bunch of explosives in the World Trade Center and they blow it up live on TV. Then he says let's invade Afghanistan because Osama Bin Laden is hiding there. Osama played the villain/patsy in the movie. There was this WMD scene in Iraq that was just hilarious, like that third world crap hole had a weapons program, just priceless. So now Afghanistan is the highest producer of opium poppies, when the Taliban had all but eliminated the crops prior to the war on peoples freedom.
