shareIn this film the emphasis was taken off Jake Taylor and on the character of Rick Vaughn. Overall this was a horrible film, I remember watching it a week after seing the original and just waiting my [but] off for it to get interesting or funny. This was really bland and really a whole other movie, if you notice it was rated pg rather than the r rating for the raunchier Major league part one. Also I dont know if any of you noticed but in major league part two and in angels in the outfiled the team to beat is the white sox. The protagonist teams are the Indians and Angels, two teams that the White Sox beat during the playoffs and regular season.
shareI guess the writers felt there was not much more you could do with her character. She had gotten back with her husband- so there is not much more to add. In some ways it's strange she agreed to do this movie. Her acting career was pretty solid at this point of her career. Agreeing to come back for a virtual cameo- really all it did was told the audience that she is still with her husband.
Maybe she got paid big $$$$ to do not too much work.
Wait... what?!?! I thought Lynn and Jake are indeed a couple but the actual actress (Rene Russo) was just too busy and could't commit to being a full-time cast member. What did I miss in their brief conversation?
