Snipes or Epps

I've been hearing for a long time that there's been another Major League in the works. Charlie Sheen is coming back as Wild Thing. Bob Uecker has agreed to return and so has Tom Berenger. If Willie Mays Hayes is in the new Major League, I wonder if it will be Omar Epps or Wesley Snipes. Snipes turned down Major League II. It sounded like he thought he was too good for a sequel based on what I read. Now if they went to him, I wonder if he'd feel differently.

I don't think it was a case of being too good for a sequel, at the time he probably felt he was too good for his role; the character was at best the 5th most popular behind Vaughn, Taylor, Dorn Brown and on par with Ceranno and Rachel. Snipes has done sequels since (blade) he probably felt it wasn't good for his career. He's no longer a leading man though so he probably would.

I feel like Taylor, Hayes, and Vaughn were the heart and soul of the team in the first one. I hate how on the cover to Major League and the cover to Major League II, you see Taylor, Vaughn, and Dorn. The heroes of the first movie were Vaughn, Taylor, and Hayes, but most of all, Willie and Jake. They were the ones that got in the winning run. Let's also not forget that amazing catch Willie made at the wall to rob a home run. He made an amazing Willie Mayes style catch in Major League II that I remember. Hayes was always one of my favorites. For the players they were and they're personalities, I liked Willie and Rick the most. I liked Taylor in the first one for his leadership and for the type of guy he was. Both movies had very different endings. In the first one it was about getting in the winning run. In the second one, they had the lead and it was all about Wild Thing coming back to being the guy he used to be.
