What was that very narrow building...

toward the beginning of the movie. It looked like a very thin castle. It was very strange.

Thanks!

I haven't seen the film for years, but might it have been this?

The Pagoda in Kew Gardens, a lovely park in a London suburb; it famously got George III rather over-excited during his illness, I'm not sure why.

Nope. It was a folly.

It may have been a gatehouse formerly in London with royal associations that was resited to Windsor Park(?) as an eye-catcher. This is why only a facade now exists.

Perhaps someone local can answer the query in more detail.

I think that may be it, curlew. I watched the movie last night and wondered what the heck that building was. Thanks for the link!
