Lines from The Madness of King George

There is a line in "The Madness of King George" where he says something like: "I am not myself. I was not myself and now I am myself." This is a paraphrase of what he says in this seeming absurd line, but if anyone has a copy and can tell me exactly what the king says here in the script, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

I think maybe the scene you're thinking of is near the end, when Thurlow visits the King and they read a bit of Shakespeare. Greville says, as the King is showing signs of recovery, "Your Majesty seems more yourself." The King says "Do I? I was always myself, even when I was ill, but now I seem myself, and that is the important thing. I have remembered how to seem. What what?"

I liked the line "give us the wisdom of America".

"Push off, you fat turd!"
That's not very witty but the matter-of-fact way he said it.

Also the tagline : "The King was all powerful and all knowing. But he wasn't quite there."

Marvelous script, what what? The only other historical movie I can remember ever seeing which didn't immediately show itself as absurdly unconvincing was Rob Roy,where you can almost smell the sweat and cow manure and sexual secretions.

This exchange, quoted from the film, really happened word for word as recorded by the King's attendants at the time: The King, on meeting the Doctor for the 1st time: "Sir, your dress bespeaks of the church. Do you belong of it ?" Doctor: "Formerly, Your Majesty, but now I attend to physick." King: "Ah! You have left a profession I most admire and embraced one I heartily detest!" Doctor: "But your Majesty, Our Lord went about healing the sick." King: "Yes indeed. But he asked not hundreds of pounds for it..."

"I tell you, sir, to be Prince of Wales is not a position - it is a PREDICAMENT!"

God, I love that line.

"Now, fulfil your destiny, and take your father's place at MY side!"

All the piss pot jokes are very funny.

Do I? Yes, I do.Yeah, I've always been myself, even when I was ill. Only now I seem myself. And that's the important thing. I have remembered how to seem. What, what?

'Smile, you lazy hound. It's what you're paid for. Smile and wave. Come on.'

'Mild? 14 motions, and you call it mild? I could have manured the whole parish.'

^ Yes, I lost it at "Piss the Older and Piss the Younger!"

A real throw-away one was:
"I'm praying, goddammit!"

Though, really, the whole script could be posted up here for brilliant dialogue.

I don't remember who said it, but someone describes lunacy as "a stranger to reason."

Some great quotes posted.

I like the repartee between Pitt and Fox near the beginning of the movie when all of the M.P.s are proceeding to the House of Lords to hear the King speak.

Fox: Do you enjoy all this flummery, Mr. Pitt?

Pitt: No, Mr. Fox.

Fox: Do you enjoy ANYTHING, Mr. Pitt?

Pitt: A balance sheet. I enjoy a good balance sheet.
